Amy Lezama is an experienced marketer, dancer and pole dancer. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing with Entrepreneurship from the College of Science Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT) in 2016. With persistence to get a job in her field, she received her first role in advertising in 2018 and climbed higher and higher in the ranks, all while balancing a semi-professional job as a dancer where she performed on stages alongside artists such as Olatunji, Lyrikal, Orlando Octave and Motto.
She loves cooking and was the host of a web-series called Sizzle with Swiss from 2021-2022. Her love for cooking continues to this day and she is now equally passionate about nutriotion.
In 2022 she began her pole dancing journey and instantly fell in love with the sport. She is setting out to marry her professional dance background with pole dancing to teach her personal style to others and shake up the existing performing and entertainment landscape in the country, one student at a time.
Andrea Borges is the co-director, co-founder and visionary of the wellness division at The Pole Point Fitness and Wellness Studio.
Ange first came to Tobago in 2017, the same year that her healing journey began. The island always felt magical and even from the first trip felt like home.
In 2023 after experiencing burnout from leading a large successful team in Las Vegas, Ange decided to dive deeper into coaching and got certified at the Jay Shetty Certification School as a Life and Success Coach. She has continued her studies in Breathwork facilitation & is constantly expanding her knowledge in the wellness space.
After meeting Amy in 2024 it was clear they were both very passionate about creating something new and special on the greatest little island on the planet, where they got to know one another. Bringing her experience in running a business and ability to connect deeply with others, Ange is beyond excited to be a part of the first ever pole, fitness & wellness space in beautiful Tobago.
"Without pole dancing, I would not have found the strength needed to remove burdens off of my shoulders that were never even mine to bear in the first place. I would not have found the determination I lacked to continuously improve every area of my health and well-being. And I most certainly would not have found the most amazing community of [mostly] women who heartwarmingly encouraged and cheered me on with every spin, climb and trick I attempted until they were all nailed!
Pole dancing is more than a sport or a sexy activity. It's a journey where you learn to trust and prioritize yourself for one hour... then before you know it, those practices trickle down into other areas, leading to a more meaningful and happy life. For anyone out there looking for an outlet to healthily let out negative emotions or looking for a way to prioritize yourself, pole is a pretty good place to start.
These positive emotions and internal changes are just the tip of the iceberg that we foster through all of our sessions at The Pole Point Fitness and Wellness Studio, not just our pole classes. For those in Tobago permanently or temporarily, I invite you to take a class that calls most to you. Join our community so you can actively uncover more layers of your personal growth and feel the positive changes, all the way down to your soul."

"Going on a healing journey is a life long incredible rollercoaster of a ride! It is certainly not for the faint of heart and I often say I wish I had a coach or more of a spiritual community in place when mine began.
I’ve always been very active, playing sports, joining a gym at 15 and studied theater in high school & University. These outlets truly helped me to express what was buried deep.
Growing up as an HSP (highly sensitive person) in a family that did not express emotions felt stifling. I moved out of the country at 18 & followed my passions of acting & of immersing myself in the wellness space such as yoga & other healing modalities.
After being diagnosed with cPTSD from complex childhood trauma I knew my purpose was bigger than me. I follow the mantra that Healed People Heal People. I am incredibly grateful to be turning my pain into purpose and helping everyone who steps through the doors of The Pole Point Fitness & Wellness Studio to find their passions & cultivate a sense of community, safety & purpose."
